I was inspired by one meeting. On the first day of returning to Kyiv, after more than a year of absence.

Yes, the city itself may not have changed very much, but people's eyes have really become different. It is so strange to see a young person and through the eye to feel the whole inheritance, experienced since the beginning of a full-scale invasion or earlier. But especially that this imprint of war still failed to take away humanity, kindness and light.

As soon as I exhaled the sensation at the end of the day, drowning in the window of my favorite studio, my hands quickly threw acrylic paints on the windowsill, the clouded easel was happy with the new work and began...

The painting depicts a beast walking along the tops of the mountains and carrying a large old lantern in its paws. Perhaps light appeared after darkness, but it is one of the most ancient phenomena on Earth. As long as there is light, we exist.
